I am completely obsessed with this show! If you haven’t gotten on the Downton Abbey bandwagon, you should be. 

Downton Abbey is the Yorkshire country house of the Earl and Countess of Grantham, and follows the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants during the reign of King George V. The first series spans the two years before the Great War beginning with news of the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, which sets the story in motion. The second series covers the years 1916 to 1919, and the 2011 Christmas Special December covers the 1919 Christmas period, ending in early 1920. (thank you Wikipedia)

My favorite characters are Matthew Crawley (swoon) & Lady Violet (the wonderful Maggie Smith).

There are also of course the ones you will love to hate (Thomas & O’Brien) and the ones you hope will get their chance at love (Edith)

Check it out on Netflix if you can! Season 2 will probably be on there pretty soon.  Season 3 is currently filming & will welcome the fabulous Shirley Maclaine.

If you are like me & having Downtown Abbey withdrawals, another favorite Masterpiece series of mine is Cranford & Return to Cranford.  There are also plenty of suggestions on Google, haha.
