Back in November, one my friends and I decided to take a little weekend trip to NOLA! I had not been in a very long time (since before Katrina)so it was time for a trip. I mostly wanted to get some new photographs for my Etsy shop, but it was also a nice little weekend get-a-way! We stayed at a quaint little hotel in the Garden District called the Prytania Park Hotel. The rooms were also very reasonable and it was a short walk to the street car line.
The street car was the BEST way to get around NOLA. It took us pretty much anywhere we needed to go.
We visited the French Quarter
& stuffed ourselves with Beignets.
We walked through the Garden District, visited one of the cemetery’s there, found Anne Rice’s old house, then walked down Magazine Street in search of Sucré. We also went out to the City Park and St. Louis Cemetery no. 3.
It was a fun trip, even if we didn’t spend much time on Bourbon Street
There are also a lot more pictures in the gallery. Just click on the pictures. Most are also for sale in my Etsy shop.
